Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 20:<\/strong> With Automation Expo 2026<\/strong> set to open at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from 22 to 25 July<\/em><\/strong>, members of the event\u2019s Board of Governors<\/strong> have shared their expectations for the four-day show, describing it as one of the country\u2019s most significant meeting points for the industrial automation, instrumentation, robotics, and digitalisation community.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Started in 2002<\/strong> under the leadership of Dr. M. Arokiaswamy<\/strong><\/em>, the Automation Expo has grown to bring together more than 700 exhibitors<\/em><\/strong> and draw manufacturers, engineers, project teams, system integrators, startups, and decision-makers from India and overseas. Alongside the exhibition floor, the show will feature the Futuristic Control Room<\/strong><\/em> track on centralised monitoring, digital twins, and AI-led remote operations; an Innovation & Startup Zone<\/strong><\/em> for early-stage industrial technology companies; and an OT-Cybersecurity Workshop<\/strong><\/em> addressing the security of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahead of the expo, members of the Board of Governors<\/strong> said the platform continues to grow in scale and relevance for the automation ecosystem.<\/p>\n

\u201cAutomation Expo will allow you to experience innovation and new technologies, meet seniors and peers, and exchange technical ideas. This platform can make you highly influential among technical leadership,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> said Dr. B.R. Mehta, Chairman, Board of Governors for Automation Expo, and former Senior Vice President (Retired), Reliance Industries.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Several governors pointed to the expo\u2019s role in bringing the wider ecosystem together in one place.<\/p>\n

\u201cAutomation Expo has emerged over the years to reach global levels in its content and feel, with the collaboration of technocrats from end-users, consultants, and suppliers around the world demonstrating and discussing the latest innovations in factory and process industries,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> said Dr. Thampy Mathew, CEO, Agate Advisory.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. Anuj Bihani, Managing Director, Alstrut India Private Limited<\/strong><\/em>, described the show as a platform that turns \u201cconversations into collaborations and innovations into real-world solutions,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> bringing together the entire automation ecosystem to learn, share, and build the future of manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Mr. Gaurav Bawa, Senior Vice President \u2013 India Group, WIKA Instruments India Pvt Ltd,<\/strong><\/em> called Automation Expo \u201cthe industry\u2019s most powerful platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and the technologies that will define the future of industrial automation.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. Jatin Patel, Business Development Head for Projects and OEM Business, Forbes Marshall,<\/strong><\/em> said the event brings suppliers, startups, and customers together \u201cto transform ideas into the future of automation.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> For Mr. P.V. Sivaram, Evangelist for Industry 4.0, Digital Transformation, and Industrial Automation,<\/strong><\/em> the value lies in the density of access: \u201cHundreds of conversations among qualified industry experts in four days, which otherwise would take a full year.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
