The day brought together participants from across the startup, investment, academic and industry ecosystems, adding a strong entrepreneurial and innovation-focused dimension to the summit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key highlight of IRS 2026 was\u00a0<strong>Capital Nexus<\/strong>, MIT India\u2019s national entrepreneurship and investment platform, which brought together\u00a0<strong>100+ startups<\/strong>\u00a0across sectors including SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, D2C, AgriTech, DeepTech, AI\/ML, CleanTech, Manufacturing and EV &amp; Mobility. Following the selection process,\u00a0<strong>25\u201330 startups qualified for the Grand Finale at the Industry Institute Engagement Summit (IES) 2026 in Delhi in October 2026<\/strong>, where they will gain opportunities for investor engagement, mentorship and national visibility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Designed to create structured opportunities for\u00a0<strong>investor matchmaking, pitch refinement, business validation and long-term mentorship<\/strong>, Capital Nexus also provided funding opportunities to promising ventures. The\u00a0<strong>top three startups were identified as eligible for immediate funding opportunities ranging from \u20b95 lakh to \u20b950 lakh through Edugild<\/strong>. The Grand Finale will further connect selected startups with angel and venture capital networks.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/indianweekend.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/pr_content_1787388394958_1787388394958png.png\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform builds on the momentum of MIT India\u2019s previous Industry Institute Future Summit, where\u00a0<strong>18+ curated investors<\/strong>\u00a0engaged with\u00a0<strong>40+ shortlisted startups<\/strong>, generating\u00a0<strong>\u20b95 crore+ in investment interest<\/strong>\u00a0across HealthTech, DeepTech, AI\/ML and D2C. This continued engagement reflects the potential of sustained connections between emerging ventures, investors and the wider enterprise ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<strong>MIT India National Hackathon<\/strong>\u00a0brought together\u00a0<strong>100+ student teams<\/strong>\u00a0comprising students from Engineering, Science, Management and Design institutions across India, creating a national platform for young innovators to address challenges with direct industry relevance. Following the Pune qualifier,\u00a0<strong>30 teams have advanced to the Grand Finale in New Delhi<\/strong>, where they will present their solutions before industry professionals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hackathon featured problem statements across\u00a0<strong>Government, Social Impact, Defence, Healthcare, Technical and Industry<\/strong>\u00a0sectors, enabling students to apply their academic learning to real-world challenges. The initiative carried a\u00a0<strong>\u20b925 lakh prize pool<\/strong>, with\u00a0<strong>48 industry experts<\/strong>\u00a0involved in judging teams across the qualifier and finale. All teams participating in the Grand Finale will also receive\u00a0<strong>AWS certification vouchers worth \u20b910,000 each<\/strong>, along with\u00a0<strong>cloud credits worth \u20b920,000 each<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, Capital Nexus and the National Hackathon advanced the larger objective of IRS 2026: creating stronger connections between\u00a0<strong>ideas, talent, industry, investment and opportunity<\/strong>. While Capital Nexus creates structured pathways for promising startups to access funding, mentorship and business networks, the National Hackathon develops a pipeline of multidisciplinary student talent equipped to address industry-relevant challenges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mr. Digvijay S.
